Pediatric Maryland Medicaid, Medicare Part B, Medicare Advantage plans, and Tricare East plans are accepted. United Healthcare acceptance is pending. Superbills/receipts are available for possible reimbursement or out of network benefits depending on your insurance.

Executive Function Coaching
Pediatric & Adult
Our speech therapy team administers a comprehensive cognitive-communication evaluation to assess levels of attention, memory, organization, and mental flexibility (executive function skills and systems). This assessment will determine the client’s ability to apply time management, problem-solving, and self-regulation skills. A comprehensive report, personalized recommendations, and consultation, are provided as part of this evaluation.
Treatment will focus on promoting self-motivation, and strategies to organize, plan, and prioritize schoolwork and/or job responsibilities with the goal of increased independence. Therapy can show improvements in academic performance, and consequently a decrease in stress and frustration. Our typical recommendation for therapy is 1-2 days/week for optimal progress. Satisfactory progress can result in less frequent biweekly or monthly sessions.

Comprehensive Speech & Language
Pediatric & Adult
For children, we evaluate speech and language development in relation to norms for their age group. This is assessed through parent/caregiver interviews, observation, play, and interaction with your child to understand how they communicate.
For adults, we evaluate comprehension of verbal and spoken language, word finding skills, and speech sound production that may have changed as a result of a stroke or neurological condition such as Parkinson’s disease.
A comprehensive report, recommendations, and consultation with the parent/caregiver are provided as part of the evaluation. Our typical recommendation for therapy is 2-3 days/week for optimal progress.

Swallowing
Adult only
A clinical bedside swallow evaluation will be completed to assess the oropharyngeal swallowing function. Suspicion of aspiration would warrant further testing. Diet consistencies will be recommended as well as exercises to improve the swallow. Our typical recommendation for therapy is 2-3 days/week for optimal progress. Satisfactory progress can result in less frequent biweekly or monthly sessions.

Fluency
Pediatric & Adult
Using standardized testing methods, we assess stuttering, and associated frequency and severity. The assessment will include stimulation exercises to gauge patient response to fluency-shaping techniques. A comprehensive report, recommendations, and consultation are provided as part of the evaluation. Our typical recommendation for therapy is 1-2 days/week for optimal progress.

Voice
Pediatric & Adult
We perform a perceptual and acoustic evaluation to provide baseline measurements of your voice quality, pitch, range, and volume. Treatment includes reshaping the voice with proven clinical techniques and strategies. Our typical recommendation for therapy is 2-3 days/week for optimal progress.

Vocal Cord Dysfunction 30 minute Treatment session: $80/each
Once the Evaluation has been completed, treatment includes learning different breathing techniques to help cope with VCD episodes, by improving control.
Chronic Cough 30 minute Treatment session: $80/each
Once the Evaluation has been completed, treatment includes learning a cognitive-behavioral approach to condition new responses and break the cough cycle.

Occupational Therapy Services
Comprehensive Fine Motor & Sensory Integration (2 yrs. – 18 yrs.)
We evaluate fine motor development, primitive reflexes & sensory regulation for your child in relation to norms for their age group. This is assessed through parent/caregiver interviews, observation, play, and interaction with your child to understand their current skill levels. Pediatric Feeding
The difficulties that can be addressed within occupational therapy include picky eating, texture sensitivities, tactile sensitivities, utensil use, straw or cup use, and overall mealtime regulation. Tutoring Services
Education Testing (Grades K-12)
Often, it is beneficial to have a student tested in the areas of reading, writing, math and fluency to assess eligibility for an IEP plan or further school support. Our special educator is qualified to administer this type of testing in an individualized setting. A report with findings and recommendations will be provided as part of this testing, and can be shared with the school to support your student.
60 minute Evaluation: $195
Tutoring (Grades K-12)
Phoenix Therapies+ offers tutoring services for students of all skill levels in grades K-12, including those in honors or gifted & talented classes!
Our certified educator is certified in Orton-Gillingham Plus, a sought-after literacy approach for adolescents with dyslexia (grades 3 and up).

Education Advocacy Services
Follow-Ups
Our Education Advocate is available to offer additional and continued support for parents and families throughout the IEP process and school year. Follow-ups can be completed in person at our clinic or virtually. Each follow-up session is customized to your student. These sessions can serve as answers to questions following the IEP meetings.
30 minute Follow-Up: $80/each
Initial Consultation
Our Education Advocate holds a comprehensive review of the student’s academic records with the parent or caregiver to determine next steps for setting up an IEP or 504 plan, which could include a behavioral assessment. If an IEP or 504 plan already exists, our Education Advocate will provide recommendations after meeting with our multi-disciplinary team.
